Well, I would still ask you your ultimate goals, but a new "K" is a wonderful upgrade for the front end. The #1 thing I would recommend prior to ANY other suspension work, would be FLSFC's.

What are the specific issues you are having with the suspension? Please just PM me with your answer as it is easier to follow than this.

Well, you linked an SN95 tube "K" and you have an S197, silly

I would ask you what your ultimate goals are in the suspension of your ride? You will certainly upgrade your cornering going with a tube "K", but I am not as familiar with the '05+, as I am with previous years, sorry. I would refer you to the Handling Performance section of MF's for further assistance.

Seems to me the config. you mention would be soft up front and stiff out back. This would cause oversteer issues and sounds like a drifting set up.

Ones car really needs to be set up for a single type of condition to really work well. There are some things can be done to improve 1/4 mile from twisty pretty easy, such as removing front sway bar to transfer weight better. Much of this gets into spring rate and shock/strut combos as well and far-and-away my weak point on suspension mods. I would recommend you start with some good frame support as this is going to benefit you in ALL realms of performance driving. If you are really intent on getting both twisties and 1/4 mile results, go coil-overs and maintain the ability to swap them out for different driving applications. This is going to be more $$$, but the flexability to meet the needs of different events.

hey jazzer, what would u say to a 1/4 mile front suspension, with a twistes rear suspension. im running the chromoly drag front end with a stock rear, and was thinking about making it setup for twistes. i could always throw the stock front wheels back on to balance out the drag front end. i drive my car more on the road than at the track and twistes seem more fun. what would u say?

    Hey Jazzer~
I own an 2005 Saleen with the factory tire and wheel upgrade that is in desperate need of new (rear) tires after only 11,500 miles. Nine inch seven spoke 20's in front and 10" in back. I've been doing some research on the MF site and you seem to be the resident expert on tires as well as all things suspension... I have the original Pirelli P Zero Rosso's that Saleen put on the car. I'm not set on any particular brand but have to say that I am not very impressed with the Perilli's. I am considering just buying new rear P Zero's since there is still a lot of tread left on my fronts, however, I don't want to be pound wise and penny foolish. My biggest complaint with the tires is their inability to hook up out of the hole, and when shifting from 1st - 2nd, 2nd - 3rd, and breaking loose when cornering hard. While I realize some of those issues are caused by my driving skills or lack thereof, I'm certain there has got to be a better tire out there. Any input you might have would be greatly appreciated.
