wow, never heard that about the zoo...I lived there for roughly 5 years in the late 90s...They still race at night down on 9th street past KVCC?

Not that I have ever seen. 9th street is pretty busy anymore all the way down to KVCC. The Osthemo area of Kzoo has built up like crazy.

Portage/Kalamazoo area. Moved down from GR in 2001. Love it down here, not a big car scene but not far from the bigger cities either.

I live in Troy, part of the suburbs of the Metro Detroit area. I like it, nice town.

I did live in Flint while I was attending Kettering University from 2006 - 2010, that place well besides Kettering and a few of the "better" areas was a dump filled with crime. I never would want to live there again.

Hey guys... I know its been awhile since anyone posted to this thread but I figure since Im new it thats okay. Ive been in the military most of my adult life (18 years) but Michigan is still home. I grew up in Petoskey, lived in WhiteCloud and now claim Afton. Although living in northern MI requires a 4x4 truck, atvs, snowmobiles... I will always have a muscle/sports car in the garage. Currently, living in El Paso Texas and loving the warm weather cuz I can drive my stang year round... there is nothing like Northern Michigan with the hills, lakes, green grass and trees! Remember that folks, the grass is NOT always greener on the other side. ;-)
