"Mustang" repair shop?
 

Anyone know of a nearby repair shop that knows mustangs? My car is still leaking coolant and I want to take it to a shop that's preferably familiar with mustangs, near the Livonia/Plymouth area or elsewhere if it isn't too far?

Walsh motorsports in wixom although not sure they do repairs. They have a shop and tuned mine. Might be worth calling. blue collar performance in westland is the same deal - not sure they do repairs... there is a place on plymouth rd near redford, blue oval auto or something. west of inkster i believe. they always have tons of nice cars - pretty sure they do repairs.

Blue Oval repair in Livonia. On plymouth east of middlebelt. Talk to Jeff he's the owner, very good guy. He does all the work on my mustang. He's very knowledgeable when it comes to mustangs & he's always got some nice car up there that he's working on.

Try Blue Collar Performance in Westland, they have a lot of Mustang experience. (the owner races a legend lime Mustang on road courses)

I ended up taking it somewhere local because I didn't want to drive it that much on the road...all seems well except for the fact that one tech wanted to argue with me because he didn't believe the car came with PI heads since it wasn't listed in the Ford Racing catalog..... :/

Engine started ticking on my 2007 GT
 

My 2007 Ford Mustang GT (73,500 MILES) started to tick in the engine area. I used Mobil 1 Synthetic oil from day one. three weeks ago I had my oil changed and they suggested Amsoil. one week late it started to tick. Any idea why the car is ticking now? Yesterday I had the oil changed and they also flushed the engine and went back to Mobile 1. It was still ticking so I used a can of sea foam...half in the engine and half in the fuel. Not sure why the car is ticking, looking for help? Thanks for the help....Jack:icon_qtank:

I'd suggest that you would see more replies to your question if you posted it in a new thread. This appeared in an old thread that was not at all related to the topic.

99GTVert, did it by any chance end up leaking from one of the radiator hoses? Working at a Ford dealership, I saw a few mustangs with corrosion on the aluminum inlet/outlet that the radiator hoses connect to. A little elbow grease and a wire brush usually solved the problem.

Do you mean right where the upper radiator hose connects to the intake manifold at the thermostat housing? I did notice some corrosion on the thermostat housing when I was screwing around with it a while ago before I got the car fixed.

The issue ended up being a bad head gasket and the COPs went to **** right after I got the car back from the shop (car misfired, the shop "could not detect it"......). Then after a few phone calls dropped it off at Blue Collar Performance and they fixed it right up. Ran beautifully...probably should have went there first lol.

I would recommend Blue Collar Performance in Westland to anyone.
