I've heard of guys swapping 4.0 V6 too 4.6 V8. I think if you're dead set on swapping you should look for a rear ended wrecked GT same year as yours. Your going to have to swap nearly everything. As far as having suspension and other mods done to your car I get that but bear in mind if you swap the engine a lot of that stuff will have to be swapped out to accommodate the new engine. As far as the car being paid off and general finance matters of it, you gotta pay to play and in general the best way to get more power is either FI or just bite the bullet and sell the 6 for an 8. Anything is possible but you have to realistic.

The 3.7 has 305 hp...the 4.0 has 210 hp..read up before opening your mouth .
