Not in the Houston area, but shipping doesn't look to bad... Says they can't test engine, not really sure why. It started before and after I took the intake off.

Why exactly can't I buy a new edge 4.6 donor gt 99-04 and use that?

I'm trying to avoid auction sites

The older 4.6 might actually be a step down rather than up. And tuning would be an issue trying to get it to work with your current computer and electronics.

Just so you know, any 4.6 modular motor will swap in with the proper mounting parts. A 4.6 3v will bolt in exactly like a 4.6 2v or 4v.

Why would you even consider a 2v?

Why is that car $14k to repair? Must be some frame damage.

I have found a few modulator 4.6 2v complet cars for sale but for the v6-v8 swap
The parts for the mod gt engine is cheaper than the 3v

@jimc the 2v has 260 hp, as to where my 4.0 has 190 ( before Cai tune and exhaust.

I'm sure somebody has done that swap, I'd like to do the 3v swap but am finding it VERY difficult finding a donor

Yeah I also think that you should ship it from some outside. Why you do not find it on online shopping? I hope you will find the best things on online shopping. I have many good experiences about that. You should try once. You will defiantly found that stuff on internet. Hope you never mind for my poor English.

Back in 07 a complete S197 shell cost about $5000, so if you can find a totaled V8 car for less than that to do a swap you'd be in the game.
And a 2V is a mistake, might as well supercharge a sixxer...
