Two black cables that look like bicycle brake lines on the flywheels side of the engine that run behind and under the intake mani? I picked it up today. Unfortunately I don't have a smart phone or even a halfway decent camera to upload pics with. Ill try to get ahold of the girlfriends phone soon. Any suggestions on books I could pick up to help w the rebuild? I imagine a Ford shop manual would be a good start.

Also, the wiring harness is still attached. Looks like I'll be in the market for a 96 ecu pretty soon. Lol

One of my buddys did a swap similar to this, he had an 01' GT and dropped in a 97' Mark VIII motor with a 96 Cobra Upper and Lower Intake manifold. Now the tricky part becomes the fuel rails, if I recall he had to get the rails off a Mach 1 and get the mounting tabs cut off and re TIG welded back on in the right spots, the way around this would be an intake manifold off a 99+ 4V, but that would also require "c" heads because the port runners don't match up. But after he had everything together, with IMRC delete and EGR delete, he was pushing a bit over 275rwhp if I remember correctly

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably stick with my b heads. I plan on boosting once it's all back together. Any links to his build?

He never really documented it, which is a shame because it was a lot of trial and error, especially with the fuel rails lol. That motor loved to rev though, and if you are staying N/A for a while it might be worth while to swap in some 3.73s or 4.10s if you don't have them already, the 4V with B heads makes most of its power up high. I loved that car when he had it, it was able to keep up with my 3v when I only had gears intake and a tune for the most part(I always won by a 1- 1.5 cars usually :-) main reason being his car had 3.08 gears for some odd reason so by the time he was in power I was way ahead lol)

I plan on going boosted. Ive got to tear it down to see what kind of shape it's in so I figure I might as well build it while I reassemble. It hasn't run in about 10 years or so. I plan on probably going with 3.73s. It's gonna be a long process cause money and time are a bit scarce for me at the moment. Lol
