347 stroker in 67 cougar, injector size?
New forum poster here;
I have a 67 Cougar with the following set-up and was wondering if 36# injectors will be too much.
Engine from an 89 donor 5.0
347 stroker kit bored .030 over
SCAT 347 stroker kit,
Bore (in): 4.030 in.
Bore (mm): 102.362mm
Engine Stroke (in): 3.400 in.
Balanced: Yes
Piston Material: Forged aluminum
Piston Style: Dish, with a D-shaped cup
Piston Head Volume (cc): +17.00cc
CompCams Xtreme cam
Cam, Lifters, Timing, Hydraulic Roller Tappet, Advertised Duration 282/290, Lift .565/.574, Ford, 5.0L, Kit
Aftermarket Edelbrock fuel rails, 3/8 lines, 255lph intank pump, aftermarket adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Trickflow street heat upper and lower with 75mm intake, 1 inch riser, 75mm throttle body, 1 inch egr delete spacer, 73mm C&L MAS, cold air intake.
ProComp Aluminum heads, 210cc intake, 70cc exhaust, 60cc combustion, 1.60" valve size
2.5" X-pipe exhaust with flowmasters, long tube headers
tko-600 5-speed tranny, 10.5" organic clutch, 13.5lbs aluminum flywheel
Currently set up for 24# injectors for the ECU and MAF sensor. Any information would be helpful. I have all these parts and am ready to assemble, but I thought I'd need bigger injectors. The car is N/A with no desire to set up any aftermarket s/c or turbos.
