Default 4.6 in 95gt

i have a 95 gt roller, and while i've been looking for engines and deciding on which way to go an 01 gt fell in my lap. The 01 gt was wrecked but it was completely cosmetic. The 01 still runs and drives, and it has a freshly rebuilt motor and transmission (both with under 8000 miles on them). I know this will be alot of work but i don't mind work. Plus I will not have that much money in the car when i'm done.

Since i have a complete running and driving donor car i'm wondering on what i need to strip from the 01 besides drivetrain. i'm going to pull the motor, trans, driveshaft (if it fits). I would like to have all the accessories work in the 95 (besides AC). Which electronics will have to swapped.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thx, I know everything will fit. I just wanted to know how much of the electrical side of things i will need off the 01. Will the computer from the 01 run all the lights and accessories in the 95?

You'll need to use the computer from your 01 along with the engine harness and fuel injector harness. I believe the chassis harness is the same in either car. I recommend getting an Edmonds manual and doing a little research.

A donor car is the best case scenario when doing swaps, so you're good in that respect.
Basically, the more of the 01 parts that you gonna use the better.
The firewall might be different between the two cars as far as punched out holes there to accommodate the different harnesses but it shouldn't be a big challenge to overcome...

I did this swap into a 95 v6.

We had to replace EVERY SINGLE HARNESS except the taillight harness. Also, we ordered an SCT tuner being told it could delete PATS. It doesn't. We ended up taking it to a local shop that added in PATS to the car as well as tweaked some of the electrical for us.

I can tell you a bit more details if you like It was a HUGE project my husband and I did in our garage...you will thank yourself for having a donor car, trust me.
