Will the 4.6 engine fit on the stock K-member, or are the mounting points on the stock K-member in a different place?

I am not 100% sure, but I think that the K-member and motor mounts are the same, it kept things easier and cheaper for Ford.

if you have both motors you can measure the distances, if not I would look at aftermarket k-members and see if there are specific part numbers for v6 and v8 motors.

Thanks ticopowell. I tried to look it up that way but They didn't list any. I as called 2 of the aftermarket K-member companies like QA1. They said they didn't have one and didn't know if it would work. I bought a K-member anyway I am just trying to get ahead of things before I take the front end out. If it doesn't fit I can fabricate it to work since I have a mig welder. When I get the answer I will post it on the site.

I am not installing a 4.6 I just need to know if the K-member listed for the 4.6, will fit with my 3.8.

Please post what you find out about the k-member. If the 3.8L block mounts up it will be easier than trying to fab one up.

K member is the same, engine mounts are different.
