1995 GT swap to 351w
I just bought a 95 GT with a carbureted 351w project to finish. I haven't done much mechanical work, but I learn quickly and I'm good with directions. It doesn't have an AC and the only vents that are hooked up or working are the floor vents (might just not be connected), the gauges aren't working, I need tailpipes and mufflers, the fuel filler neck either needs replaced or the gasket needs replaced, and body work of course. I'll post more pics, but here is a pic of the 351. I know it's dirty right now
Oh, and what size of battery should it need? I bought a new battery.. it's at home, but it has 800 cranking amps which is what was on it before, but it seems like it's only good for one start. Maybe the alternator is bad.
Any tips on getting the above items fixed and installing an AC? The motor seems to run great.
I'm not switching to EFI anytime soon. Maybe in the future. My main concern is getting these items fixed so I can drive it over the summer. I'm not looking for a drag car. I'm looking to finish this to be a daily driver.
