Newbie question. A 5.4 liter into a 2000 GT?
I am very new to the car world when it comes to sports cars and custom stuff. My dream car is a 2000 Cobra R Mustang. Now I can' afford one of the few 300 cars that were made, but it's for nostalgia reasons I was thinking of building a poor man's version.
Getting a 2000 GT Mustang, and dropping a 5.4 liter engine and a T-56 transmission in it. But I realize there is more to it than that. What kind of chip(s) would be needed? Fuel injection, exhaust, and engine mounts? Also I assume a regular F-150 5.4 liter will not work without some work to get the specs up. Advice on that also. Were could I find a after market 5.4 liter that won't break the bank. I also know suspension and other things are involved. Any advice to this newbie would be appreciated. Thanks much in advance.

intake adapter is the only specail part I am aware of you need for a 5.4 swap..
mmr has em, used to be a one off part, now you can get em premade.

not the greatest gains made from that swap from what I have seen.
