Default Is there a Ford equivalent of this build?

I remember reading this article in Hot Rod back in the day. I came across in on the net recently. It got me to thinking, is there a Ford equivalent of this build?

The 350 Engine Chevrolet Should Have Built

400hp/ft-lbs plus power on 87 octane gas sounds really great.

I don't think Ford ever made one like that from the factory, but I imagine that you could take a SBF and built it to similar specs.

You can certainly build a Ford engine like that. I would recommend a 351 Windsor because you have so much more to work with than a 302. You could easily make 400 at the wheels with even a mild stroker.
