2002 gt motor into 2005 v6
So I had a question which I’m sure it’s possible to do just was curious on what would have to be done and if it’s even worth the headache. So I have a 2002 gt that was in an accident the car still runs and drives same as it did before the accident motor and trans are still strong and have life left. I was curious as to the what the process would be to put my motor into my friends 2005 v6. I have an automatic trans and his is manual would his trans be able to stay since I’d like to convert to manual anyway or would I need a different trans. Or do I just have a better chance finding a 02 v6 for cheap and just swapping everything

His manual trans won't bolt up to the 2002 Motor.
The 2005, there is no throttle cable, it's drive-by-wire. You'd need the ECU too.
It's really not worth the huge headache for another 70 HP, he can bolt that on for
less...

its not that he wants to use my motor. His motor crapped out and I figured I’d put my good motor in it for myself. Would I instead be able to put my motor and trans on it or if I come across a manual 02 compatible trans would it work ?
