Howdy! I have a 92 Mustang with a 2.3 and A4LD. I just went to Pick-N-Pull this afternoon and found a 91 Thunderbird in there with a super clean 5.0 HO in it with an AOD. I was wondering if anyone knew what is compatible between these two cars. I know the bodies are different (MN-12 vs. Fox Platform) and things like the intake and exhaust are different. I was planning on grabbing the engine, transmission, ECU and wiring harness from the Tbird and would like to grab other things like the throttle cables if they are compatible. I am figuring that as long as I grab the ECU and wiring harness that this should be a pretty straightforward swap. I already know that I will have to upgrade other things (like the front suspension) but I plan on grabbing those parts from another foxbody car in the yard. I am a super newbie to engine swaps so any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I had a 93 Tbird, there's differences in the throttle body area and the belt routing I believe, seems on Stangs the power steering and AC compressor were in different spots. Different firing order in those 5.0's as well, depending on if it's HO or not.... and the AOD is a power sucker. My 93 had a whopping 200HP...
