I have been reading places that the 8" rear end from a 67-70 mustang can be swapped in with little to no modification. Is this true?

Would it be better to get an 8.8" and make new spring perches for it? I would really like to have the disc brake.

I'd be looking at an 8.8 or a 9" from a lincoln verselles or however its spelled.
