Will a Boss 302 fit into a 1974 Mustang II?

One more thing, the 302 is tight in the engine bay so I wouldn't advise a Boss swap unless you like raising the engine to swap plugs. LOL. I have seen a 351C in a II but it looked as if it were grown in there.

I ran the Cobra II scoop and cut the hood, but mainly ran the lowered base air cleaner. Still ran a 3" filter. I ran an Edelbrock F4B intake and a Performer intake way back when. Would show a few pics if I could figure how.??? Just make sure you have the right oil pan or motor will not drop down.

i assume the OP is talking about putting a Boss 5.0 with the DOHC cams etc not a Boss 302 out of a 1969-1970 mustang?? esp since he said it comes with a 6 speed

well i guess we'll never know lol. fwiw a 302 with a performer rpm intake (non-airgap) and a holley 600 needs a low profile air cleaner to prevent from hitting the hood.

Didn't a few of these cars come with 302s from the factory anyways?
I'm sure the new 5.0 would fit in there since that car doesn't have shock towers...
