Camaro Concept.. Opinions.
I like camaros.. My last car was one.. If you havent taken a look at the concept camaro I encourage you to do so. It looks pretty impressive...
However I am a tad bit disapointed.
They wanted to go back to the classic camaro look as ford did with the mustang.. and there is a HINT of the classic look to it.. however I find the car much more Futuristic looking than classic. The hints of classic-ness that are there are enveloped with the futuristic look right on top.. (and in the case of the front and back lights) even blocking it.
The HP looks impressive 400 wow.. I wonder if this will be for the Z28 version... SS version or what?
What is everyones opinion on this car? Just wondering@

im a big camaro fan, but mostly the old 1st gens, mainly the '69er. the concept camaro IMO is pretty damn ugly. 400 hp is sweet, but a face only a mother (or the most hardcore of fans) could love.

Thats what I thought.. My brother is a salesman at a dealership that MAINLY deals with chevys.. they are authorized in both ford and chevy though.. but needless to say he is BIASSED to chevy.. He loves the car..
OH and on a funny side note... he used to work at a ford house and back then was all the way ford lol... guess you gotta be for what you really sell lol.
My uncle owns a ford dealership and his son works there..
Its halarious to listen to the bickering...
OH and get this.. theres a doctor in my town that is a big sports car fanatic. He is on the ferrari preffered buyers list ON TOP and gets first choice of any ferrari that comes to the US.
He just ordered a ford GT and put the payment down for the 07 SALEEN.
he paid about 30k over sticker price and guess what...
He wrote one check.. for both of them to my cousin...
*drools* Must be nice to have so much money that money is.... nothing.
Im betting he orders one of these camaros the MINUTE they become available.

I like the way they look, but I think the new mustangs look better. The LS2 is an amazing engine, and the hp numbers are stout, but keep in mind it is planned to be built on the Zeta platform and will weigh ~4,000 lbs. I would rather wait until I can afford a car with an LS2 that doesn't weight two tons (i.e. the vette).

i though i heard they were getting released in july sometime?? anyway chevy is on the right line along with dodge, just think they owe ford a lot for bringing back the the old but not forgotten as a modern muscle car.
