Default Ford Going Private?

Interesting article out today. The Ford family is talking about taking the company private. The upside is complete control and the shareholders can go #$%$ themselves. I am sure there are plenty of downsides.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) - The Fords are reportedly mulling the possibility of bringing their company back into the family fold, which would end 50 years on the stock exchange and pave the way for Bill Ford and his inner circle to retool the struggling automaker without further meddling by shareholders.
At this point, the family, which owns about 5% of the company's outstanding shares and controls 40% through a separate class of stock, is "willing to look at anything," according to USA Today citing an unnamed source.
Closing Ford's doors to Wall Street would allow management to focus on their own long-term objectives without having to constantly feed analysts and investors quarterly progress reports and jump through the other regulatory hoops that face public companies.

This may not be a bad thing. Though I think they should just go for majority ownership. If the family takes over then maybe this STUPID "Mustang" lawsiut crap will go away. Everyone needs to write to them and tell them how dumd they really are, and it will only hurt them. An address was printed in Mustang Monthly magazine. (AUG)

There have been several big companies taken private in the last couple years, ToysRus was taken private to the tune of 6.6 Billion dollars.

As a Ford stockholder, I don't think they can get the money togather. I really don't see this happening.
Maybe for $25-$30 per share.
i think Ford is at about $7.75 just now.
That could sure help my retirement plans if they would do that (LOL)....
