im just curious why the option was only in fox's for a few years? and how come it was never offered for the newer mustangs? the trans am's still have them why cant we!!
You mean a targa-top (t-top) ??? They were offered on some years and you can buy kits for 99-04's and probably for 80's and 90's stangs but its alot of money...
ya, with a targa top the coupe does loose some rigidity, but thats nothing a subframe cant fix. The loss is minimal when compared to what would happen if u cut it off completely to a convertable, but still there none-the-less. If u were to do a T-top conversion on a stang (never heard of them available, would be curious to see where kits could be purchased) i would strongly recommend a sub-frame to give back some of the rigidity, of course rigidity dosnt mean anything unless the suspension is all bonzai. The 87 and early 88 t top cars are now worth a little money simply because of the rarity, but I wouldn't recommend putting on in as a kit. It poses to many leakage problems.
