NO BOSS V8
I guess that $4 a gallon gas is too expensive for ford to produce the boss v8, THAT SUCKS!

Pht. Oh no! NoBoss V8 in the "Super Dudy"
I do not trust the internet as a reliable source of information. Heck, I wasn't even sure there was a Boss engine evenbefore I read this article. It was an idea that was being thrown around. Australia is probably at like $1.60/L (Dunno in $/G) but here it's $1.33/L and that's over $5.00/G I believe. Anyway, there they have the falcon with a N/A 5.4L V8 with their gas prices.
So there won't be a 6.2L. Don't worry. They'll figure something out. I'm thinking smaller displacement, but with F/I.
I say we'll have to wait and see.

RE: NO BOSS V8
they're not gonna decrease the performance of the Mustang again...they've learned that lesson the hard way...and they earn so much money on the Mustang that it would be a stupid decision...

The Mustang has always done fine with smaller displacement anyway. The Mustang was always the complete package, Looks, Performance, Price, etc. That formula is what kept it going continuously since '64. A similar story is the Corvette. It has all those factors as well and it's only missed one model year in over 50 years (1975?) Other cars were faster, or cheaper, or better looking (the 80's were not a good time... ), but the Mustang outlasted and outsold them all.
A 5.0or 5.4 will do just fine.Besides, with a 6.2L, we'd be looking at a Boss 378. If you're gonna make a boss, at least make it a 5.7 so it's a Boss 351. (If anybody actually cares about that sort of thing...)

That Boss has been on and off for over a year. Who knows what they'll do. Although gas prices are a drain on the auto makers, interest in hi po vehicles byt he public is huge, and there seems to be aneed by the companies to carry a perfromance banner for pride and maerketing purposes at a minimum. So who knows. BUt anyway, there is always a means, I'm sure you'l lbe able to buy one as a crat enegine, or get an Aluminator supervharged for 700 pomies.

Yeah I mean you have to have at least one performance car otherwise your company will be lame.(*cough cough* Toyota are you listening? Way to cancel the celica and supra...) Heck even Honda has the S2000.
IfFord made a couple more I4 powered cars and toned downon the SUV'sthey could go all out on the Mustang engine. Or there's that experimentalRoush 777 engine(7.0L, 700 HP, @ 7000rpm) that runs on e85. Now I'd buy that![8D]
