I dont know if i should trade it for a street bike, do you guys think i should do it for a r1. I have a 98 mustang gt s/c with many mods and 83k on the motor. Its a 07 yamaha r1 w/ some mods. Just trying to get people opinions, because gas is getting crazy now and I need something that will get more mpg

Why not just buy a little work vehicle? You can get a nice little 4 banger for around 1-2K and still be able to keep your Stang. Thats what I did.

Well I guess it's whatever you're into. I personally really don't like street bikes but whateva floats yer boat. I mean, if you have a beater, then the Mustang isyour "fun" car. The whole point of it is to dump money on it for your entertainment. By saving gas money with your bike, what are you going tospend it onanyway? If you don't need the cash, I'd keep the car (even it weren't a Mustang)

well i dont know the whole situation or what your into but i resontley sold my 97 gt and ive missed it everyday since, in fact im going out and buying another in the near future, in my opinion keep the stang but thats just my 2 cents. good luck either way

what are you gonna do when you have a rainy day, week, or even month??? driving a beater sucks when you know you have a fast vehicle sitting at home and cant drive it

keep them all. Get a bike that is a few years older and save yourself some money too, like 03 to 05. I have a 06 gixxer 600 and an 05 mustang gt, and have thought about getting rid of one or the other too, but in the end I love both of them too much to get rid of either of them.

Don't do it man. A street bike is way crazy and not as fun as it sounds. But if that's what you're into... I dunno.

as you can see, i got a v8 stang plus my r1. the r1 mostly stock i get about 42-57 mpg, depending on how i ride. HOWEVER the bike, as all bikes, are costly to maintain, much more thana car and more of a burdon on time
