RE: Whats your Favorite, Manual or Auto tranny
ever heard of hands-free for ur cell phone? [8D]
+ u can do a lot more crazy stuff with the manual
try pulling up next to a friend while driving, popping it in neutral, revving your engine, and taking off all while in motion with an automatic
^ not that I ever do that tho...that's bad [8D]

Pht. You can so multitaskwith a stick. My friend texts, talks, and eats lunch while driving his manual '94 Sonoma. [8D]
^I figure I can pull that off DL. Neutral is only one slot above Drive. Maybe without wrecking my torque converter too.

manual...not even a choice, I would consider an auto if it had a good tiptronic (ie 911, M3, etc.) but straight auto = boring.
In Chicago they require an earphone to talk on your cellphone anyways so easy to shift while driving.

My friend talks on his cellphone just fine while shifting gears in his 2001 Bullitt. He took me out and taught me how to drive stick in it, and even let me drive home with it. After that experience, I fell in love with the manual transmission. It's just way more fun to drive and I love being able to control my RPMs. Autos are simple and easy to drive but that's the problem, they are simple and easy to drive. As long as you're familiar with a manual and don't mind the extra attention it takes to drive, I say manuals are the way to go.

Manual all the way. My first car was auto and I couldn't stand it. I still hate starting from a stop though. I'd be all over a twin clutch auto with paddle shifters but they aren't very affordable.
