Fuel injection? I was referring to Forced Induction (Supercharger.Turbo)when I said F/I. As in, our 4.0 v6 will need forced induction to keep up with the Camaro v6.

there are several bolt-on v6 s197's on this forum running mid 14's bro. thats what the v6 camaro is rated at.

Really? That's sad for the camaro. Well if the 4.0 can hold it's own then that's great

BUUAHAHAHHA!!!

Premium gas on the V8's... good luck selling those.
Not that would I would have a problem with that... I have a premium tune in my car, but to most normal people that's going to be a major turn off I think.

For anyone that's interested. Look at the compression ratio on the 3.6L 11.3:1 umm...that's like 350Z type compression which means that high tech Cheby V6 motor will not give great returns on ANY bolt-ons and good luck ever adding FI.

That configuration also explains the rice burner type power output of the V6. Low TQ compared to HP. I'm also wondering how the reliability will be on such a high strung motor. Time will tell.

This motor has gained 31 REAR WHEEL horsepower from an untuned CAI and exhaust.

Yes, its in a caddy, but it is the SAME motor going into the camaro.

Direct injection changes things dramatically, it WILL BE possible to boost this motor without any problems, regardless of the compression ratio.

Sorry, try again.

Everyone acts like the new camaro will cost the same as our S197's. Can you imagine a 6 cyl 300 HP camaro costing 22k or a 8 cyl 400 HP camaro at 27k? NO YOU CANT. It will be faster because it will cost more to own! We have a few more months until we find out what ford plans to do! Just chill!

And Corvettes can wreck a GT500 but really who cares because if I was worried about that I would be driving one right? I love mustangs and that's where I'm staying . I don't buy Toyota because Kyle Bush wins in Nextel. Like fu8k it.
