How can you order a car that isn't even on the road yet? They wouldn't let anyone do that with the challengers until they hit the showrooms.

I think you are just one of the guys who said I will take an SS maro at a chevy dealership and pay $15k-$25k over sticker. That's what someone I know who works at a dealership said they did about the challengers(first 2 guys who want to pay $15k or more over sticker got a hold on the challenger when it came in and got it for that price).

I'd be willing to bet that the few dealerships willing to put that in writing won't keep up the practice once they realize they can't keep an SS on the lot for more than a day or two......and there are lots of ppl coming in willing to pay top dollar to be the next buyer on the list. It'll work fine...but only if the Camaro doesn't fly off the lots like the 05 Mustangs did back in 04. If this car proves to be as hot as the GM fans are saying it will be, they'd better be willing to open that wallet nice and wide.

Today (well yesterday now) the pricing was announced and dealers started taking orders. Well certified Chevrolet dealerships anyhow. The car is sick, it's absolutely everything I dreamed it could be. Wish they never would have discontinued them in the first place, but glad they came back

Meh, the LS starts at $3K more than the V6 Stang, the SS starts at $4,500 more than a GT, and there is still no trim to compete with the GT500. Me predicts the mustang shall retain the market share that it enjoyed before the Camaro was cancelled in 2002.

Nice car though.

That or I work at a dealership group that owns a Chevy store. I am paying invoice. Also, they started taking orders yesterday.
