I'd say alot of them. Think about how many FR500 cars see the track. Probably all of them. This is the drag strip version of FR500 road race car. It's being sold to drag racers who will be using it for that purpose. It was built to run in an nhra specific class, can't remember which one of the top of my head.

*sigh* Ford loves that 5.4 way too much...Ford GT, SVT Lightning, Cobra R, Triton, GT500, GT500KR, GT500 SS....If it's a Super Cobra Jet...It needs...a Super Cobra Jet engine...Hence...429 C.I. of yeeeehaaaaw!

Re-Releasing the GT500 with the same thing...5.4 and a blower....5.4 and a blower...5.4 and a blow...Gets old.

That holds true for any of the big 3 auto makers. However, specialty cars have been a great driving force in the advancement of performance vehicles for a long time, so they'll always hold a level of appreciation in my eyes. The sad truth is that more people who own performance cars will not modify them like many performance junkies believe they should.

I see truth, specialty cars are always a nice way to turn heads but on the other hand, look at the compatition coming from over sea's. Imports for the most part have more power (less torque maybe) then ours out the door. Im not saying there isnt a need for show cars like the CJ, or the P-51, but I still would like to see more time (and money) dedicated to the average mans car. The 6ers, and GTs. But thats just me.

so just kinda curious, has anyone seen any type of numbers for the CJ? ive seen plenty of videos of it on the dyno, but no one is releasing any numbers! and ive heard of people hitting low low 10's no problem with it, and people dipping into the 9's by changin the pulleys and tuning it. and its almost 1000lbs lighter than the gt500. i think it would be totally worth it to buy one. and who cares if it cant be registered to drive on the street. i would just slap my plates on it and take it out

Never been a big fan of drag cars. This car, however, looks badass. Its so simple yet so agressive.
