hmmm what to get ?
We'll next year im planning on buying a GT model, but I'm not too sure what to get, by may of next year i'll prolly have about $15,000 saved up and I can afford a $400 monthly payment.
Im looking to build a track car but use it here n there to go on dates n stuff. Majority the car will only be driven on weekends.
I'm wondering which one would be the best as far as price/performance and i am not to tech savy, i'm still learning about cars from my dad so if anything serious does occur i won't be able to fix it myself i would have to go to a shop if anything.
I like the 2010 mustang GT's interior and it has the optional supercharger thats under warranty
But
the 2005-2009 mustang Gt's seem like they will be cheaper i've seen ones go low as $22k for a GT! but there isnt a warranty if i add a blower, i think i saw the price for one it was about $7k ? with no warranty...
what do u guys think ?

Well, if you're putting $15,000 down on the car, your monthly payment should be significantly lower than $400/month. Since you want to make it a track car, I would say go with a '05-'09. It'll be a lot cheaper and you can use the money you save to build it up.

Wow, you're in the exact same position I was back in 05........had about 15K saved up and ready to spend on a new pony. I originally planned to put most of it in on a down payment to make a really cheap monthly note (think it came out to like 300 a month). But I ended up biting the bullet......only put 8K down and used the rest to do a blower.
I agree with most....if you're planning on doing some hotrodding to the car you're better off going with an 05-08 GT. You'll save alot of money that way. If you're really digging the 2010, you could still afford some work on it if you don't throw your whole wad into the down payment. Just decide what you can afford monthly and then figure in how much of a downpayment you'd need to achieve that. The rest can go towards building the car. It just all comes down to preference and how much you're willing to spend. 15K is a good chunk of change to throw at a new car purchase.......lots of possibilities there. Good luck with your decision.
BTW, is it gonna be a drag strip car........or a roadcourse car?
