RARE 94, Asking Price??
I am looking to sell my RARE 1994 6cyl Mustang. [[I've also had somebody tell me it's a 94.5 or 95? Something about the VIN#? Not sure if that goes along with the rare aspect..]] It's Rio Red with all red and black interior, which is in EXCELLENT condition. There is VERY little information about it online, only that there were only 42 ever made in Rio Red, and only 36 made in white. I read from other forums they were made to be rental cars OR to sit in the top dealership showrooms when the cars were new. Due to its rarity I have NO idea how much more this is worth extra, but I am assuming collectors would be willing to pay more for it.
The people I bought it from 4.5 yrs ago had NO idea and were looking to get a bigger vehicle FAST as they had just married and their combined family no longer fit in the small car. I knew mine couldn't be stock so I started googling away and voila!
The car does have a dent due to a girl hitting me in the parkinglot while the Mustang was parked. The dent is just past the driver-side door in the scoop area of the side pannel that has been estimated at aprox $1,000 to fix [thanks to labor costs!] because it did slightly crack the scoop. I'm sure knowing somebody at an autobody place would cut this price in half, if not more.
It is an automatic and has 154,000 miles on it, but other than the dent the body is in great condition and the paint job in is great shape. It was garaged without driving for 5 years as well. It has 2 new head gaskets I replaced 2 years ago, new ignition [2yrs], new battery [2yrs], new tires [1yr], new belts [3mos ago], new spark plugs [1mo], new air filter [1mo ago] new lots of things. So it has many of the issues that you run into around 160k-miles already prevented and dealt with. I am the 3rd owner and it has never been in any wrecks.
The car is Kelley Blue Booking at around $2,000-$4,000 without the extra rareness about it.
If you have any information or guestimates as to what sort of price I should be selling it for I would highly appreciate it. Even some advice as to where I can go to get it priced.
I am considering selling it on eBay with the bidding and an option to buy for "X" amount of money, or some place like this online.
Thanks again!

Wrong forum.
https://mustangforums.com/forum/mustangs-for-sale-37/
That's where this should be posted. Although, you need at least 50 posts to be able to post something there. Read the rules posted there.
Personally, I don't think you're going to get someone to shell out extra cash for a "rare" Mustang when you can't even prove what is rare about it. You might want to do some research and find some proof. Good luck!

I didn't know they put a V6 in the '94 Mustang. Thought you got a 4 cyl or the V8. Someone correct me here if I'm wrong.
Nevermind. I thought '94 was the last year of the fox body style. Guess the color is what he's going off of.

I doubt it'll bring any premium for hard to find color. The premiums usually come from MUCH older stangs and then its about engines moreso than body colors. With 160K miles on it - its not going to interest a collector - if you could even find one who'd have some extra interest.
Give Ebay a shot - but if you're uneasy about it, make sure you set a higher reserve. Good luck.
