Default What comes next month after employee pricing?

So within the next week I am picking up an 09' stang. I am wondering if anyone had any insight on what Ford is planning to do after employee pricing which ends on Jan. 5th? 0% financing perhaps? Giving them away free?? If anyone has any thoughts or inside info it would help out alot!

Not sure but everyone in california is 10-11k off the MSRP for the GTs. You can get one for like 19k but those are for 08s. Not sure what you can get on the 09s but they will probably keep selling them at msrp or something and then drop the price when the 2010s come out this year. Didnt they stop making the 09s already?

last 09 orders went in at end of november, I think the '10 build starts on the 9th or 19th of jan(had it, but forget now...)

I think the employee pricing type deals will be back *Maybe* even further discounted than today, but who knows. after seeing the 09 teser pics, I was debating ordering a 09- after seeing the '10 reveal, called the dealer the next day and said go for it, but in the meantime they found me the exact car 200 miles away, so we had it flatbedded home to guarantee the employee pricing thing- its in the garage with 3.1 miles on it, saving for a rainy day in 10~20 years when the 06 finally rusts away or whatever, or if i dont last that long, the wife/kids should be able to auction it off at a good price
discounts are in effect at time of delivery, not ordering, which seems stupid, but it is what it is...my guess is employee pricing will hang around thru 09, as simply not enough folks buying cars.

sadly the worst economic times are the best deals out there...I just hope my job holds out, was nice not having a car payment, and after several disasters last year I was pretty tapped out to say the least, put minimum down got the big payment- but still, for what to my mind is the 'last of the best looking' V8 Mustangs, there will never be anothr chance to get a new one at any price, and right now pricing is rock bottom, or very close to it, and theres still 09's available...always thought 'if i could go back in time' i woulda stashed away a 69 mustang that sold for about 2300.00 then- imagine what a NEW 69 would bring today...well, to me, its kinda looking like 1969 again- uneasy gas supplies/likely demise of big engines, etc...who knows if there will even be a V8 available in 10 years...I'm thinking very highly unlikely will there be a V8 at all in 20 years, just 400 hp boosted 4/6 cyls...but who knows.

I think ford4v429 just about covers it. I grabbed my 08 in September (actually negociated below what they are now calling employee pricing) and got 4000K cash back. Not to take anything away from the 2010 models, but they are different and this may be your last chance. Get on-line and start searching for what you want! Good luck...

http://bp2.forddirect.fordvehicles.c...#page=/Models/

says a Premium GT coupe is employee priced at $25,625
I built one the way I want it (somewhat loaded) and got the price up to $29,978

In my area (SoCal) they are also having a $1500 cash back deal until Jan 5.

I think if you know what you want you will have to order it and pay the higher prices. Most dealers don't know good taste and all seem to be adding either no options or all the wrong ones.
Ford may stop the current deal, so you will have to bargain even harder after this employee pricing thing, but remember, the longer you wait the worse your choices will be. You might find better deals on left-over 2008's and 2009's as April (and the 2010's) comes around but they may be all black V6 automatics with the base wheels!

Of course there don't appear to be any Grabber Oranges in stock anywhere!

Is there an award for poster's "understatement" of the year?

OK. If I follow this correctly...they have already stopped building the 09's? The 2010's will be on the lots....when?

The 2010's will be the face lifted, less good looking cars?

The 2010's will be on the lots at the same time as the New Camaros for obvious reasons. This means March/April. Ford already said less 09's would be built than previous 4 years for again abvious reasons.

Whats next you ask?

Buy a Mustang get a Focus free. LOL
