I like both cars. I haven't seen the newest mustang in person. Personally I'd be pretty happy with a Black 03 SVT Cobra or a 02 WS6 Trans Am. These new cars are great, and as long as it's American I can't hate on it. To many jerks in audis and g35's thinking they're the hottest thing ever nowadays.

to those fanboys acting like camaro(especially third gens) are the ****.. I owned a thirdgen z28 for awhile before i bought my mustang. I swear to god that car was the slowest sluggish car ever. Those engines only made like 150 hp plus the heavy *** body. I sold it about 3 months later.. A fox body mustang with a few mods would beat an ls1 camaro with ease.

besides Id rather see a car that is "slightly better" performing(camaro) than more civics, tibulons, 350zs, etc

Hey, what's up guys. I don't usually post here, but I'm a huge Camaro fan. There's nothing wrong with checking up the competition right?
Both the Mustang and Camaro are great cars, but I would personally never buy a Mustang.
It's good to come to a Mustang forum and see that some people can respect the performance of the 5th gen Camaro.
As for looks, it's really all in the view of the beholder. I personally don't like the look of the new Mustangs but love the new Camaro.
Power is also a big thing for me and would rather buy a car with over 400hp without having to pay the 10K extra for the GT500.
I know this pace car doesn't really look good because of the paint scheme, but it really looks nicer in person. I can't wait to see the Camaro again at Indy (Even though the paint scheme is even more hideous).

i figured you werent thought i like the whole ss/tc and the no lift shift they got goin on i want it lol, ls1 camaro vs 05 gt thats easy ls1 Is GOD 
i worship the all mighty thats not a comparison the zo6 vette is the ls7 427 sbc thats in reality a built ls1 with 505hp 3160lb curb weight the gt's got 550hp outta the supercharged 5.4 and weighs in at 3351lbs and anytime they lineup at the strip stock car vs stock car the gt eats the zo6. a c6(ls3) corvette is 436hp and weighs 3217lbs vs eaton cobra 390hp or a kenne bell cobra 460hp at 13psi or whipple at just around 470hp and all weighing around 3665lbsin stock form yes the vette gets it. damn i guess gm does take the win hah guess thats why im a chev man

Take a survey from our cobra guys here they'll tell you the same.

My girl friends dad owned a 3rd gen camaro and said it would the worst car he has ever owned. Its kind or funny how now he drives a Ford. Im not saying the 5.0 came from the factory with a million hp, but an amazing torque curve, realiable, and easy as hell to mod. ( I would know I own a 94).
