The fact that this Hyundai exists as well as the Camaro and Challenger is really a testament to how well Ford has done with the Mustang's execution since '05. This was a totally dead market segment with one lone survivor, the Mustang, that other manufacturers were happy to let Ford have.
Ford was so successful that these other manufacturers are being lured back into this segment.

That being said, there's no question that the 05 stang redesign was one of the best things Ford could have done. They created an awesome car to carry them through the last five years.

Everyone has their "car", the one that they wouldnt trade for the world. I think here you are going to find alot of guys that would say the same thing about their Mustangs, myself included. My girl drives a Hyndi and i wouldnt buy another one for anything...they are trying to get into the sports car market, and this is a good intro but its not going to beat the mustang. Just my 2cents.

I read the whole magazine its sitting here in front of me... the genesis is by no means at all a mustang killer. And as for the 370z, when Ford allows buyers to put the eaton or whipple on the 4.6l 3v out the door, then it would cost about the same as a loaded 370z (about $37k). What do you think all these tards that buy cars see that the mustang and Z go for the same price but the mustang can hit 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and do the quarter mile in 12.3 or lower? I think that would be an interesting article :-)
