Default mustang always the smaller engine why??

with the news of the new engine's HP, and the choice of using a 5.0, it appears to me that it really took alot of engineering to squeeze that much power from such a small engine and still maintain a warranty. it would have been much easier if they had just built an engine around 350 ci, or even the 330 ci of the 5.4 motor. even back in the last 80's-90's the mustang always had the smaller engine compared to the camaro, what keeps them from just building a 6.0 motor that blows away everyone.

Government... just a matter of time before they imply a tax by engine size like they do in Europe.
Ford thinks ahead, that's why they didn't take your money yet.

The Mustang is smaller and lighter. Why does it need a bigger engine? Besides it already blows everybody away. The "little" 4.6 is faster than the Hemi Challenger and almost matches the 6.2L in the Camaro because of the weight difference.

Now with the new 5.0 the Camaro boys will be shaking in their boots.

Save the money of bigger engines, stick with the new 5.0 and spend the rest of the money on suspensions and a lighter frame. Mustang>Camaro already... Lets give the z06 guys a run for the money!

It's not faster than the 5.7L 370hp dodge. It's a driver's race between the two.

That said as others have mentioned for only 300hp it has held it's own pretty well.
