Here's another take...
My lightly modded '03 GT as it sits is worth maybe $7,500, the 2011 V-6 linked to is $25,400.
$25,400 - $7,500 = $17,900; $17.9k + tax and title = $19.1k...
If it were to happen, my '03 GT + $19.1k = watch out almost anything on the road...

Thats what I keep telling myself too. I don't want to be sentenced to another 5 year loan at this point.

This frustrates me. But at the end of the day I still will need more than 20k to compete here in town. To be known you need over 1000 rwhp. Look at these two guys...

I'd sooner pay the extra 5k for the GT that already has 3.73's, 6 speed, and all that power. I think that if i bought that car, i'd do nothing but suspension stuff to it. enough power already, maybe exhaust and a tune, but thats it. and probably up the gear to 4.30's.

The logic is there, but the money usually never is. That's why people finance, and that's how people get into unnecessary debt.
