damn pretty good. To be honest I'm hoping for a 12.5-12.4 once the magazine douche bag's get more time with them.

check out the Curb weight: 3620 lb (yipes!)

Wouldn't mind having one, but I need something good in the snow. I'd rather put the 30k into MY 5.0

haha, yea pretty much. The car could be fully restored, built motor, big turbo, 800+hp, sick tune to be daily driveable, solid drive train, etc.

Price as tested was almost $40k!
Damn So much for the Mustang being affordable new.

Our local dealer had a brand new 07' GT500 that they listed for $34k now here it is just 3 years later and a GT with less power is outpricing a S197 GT500 by 6k....

Oh well, wait for the NEW 2014 and the Coyote ought to be a lot more affordable on the used lot.

Under $40k is affordable by today's standards...especially considering that youre buying one of the quickest stock cars available in the US.

The new SHO I had was almost 50.

the price on everything is going up, wages are staying the same, and somehow they play with inflation numbers saying we had deflation last year and only modest inflation so far this year... but im paying more for everything, the only thing i've seen drop in price has been TV and gas prices were down, but coming back up. bleh.. sorry about the OT rant

im jazzed about the 5.0... but i'll have to wait and see how the aftermarket goes with it.. paying off my current car and throwing a whipple on it might be better than getting a 2011.

The track pack is the only must have IMO beyond the new 302+6spd itself. I'd try to get one with just that and maybe an interior upgrade package of some sort. Keep the cost under $35K that way.

Im predicting 11s with a near-perfect launch and good tires...i dont think that the average joe will be able to do it, but is it possible? i think so...

I highlighted the important part.

The way I look at it, you can get close to 400rwhp, 25mpg on the highway and a warranty for $31k. Not bad at all. I don't see any reason to load Mustang's up with options. I would only be interested in the track pack. If you can't afford the GT, you can get 300hp, .95g's, 30mpg on the highway and a warranty for $23k.

I'd say the Mustang is still very affordable.

I'll guess a 12.3-12.4 with a really good driver... maybe 11.9-12.0 if you put some slicks on.
