GM needs to throw a punch just to keep up from what ive seen and experienced..

Not official but I would not say it is really reaching by any means.
Especially when this happened.

This last week Ford President of the Americas, Mark Fields let the cat out of the bag at an annual dealer presentation that they indeed planned to build the long anticipated BOSS 302. Well sort of. He announced that they were ready to build another special edition Mustang but told the audience that he could not say what it was.
He then told the dealers that he could drop a hint. And then a 1970 BOSS 302 came rap-crackling across the stage behind him as he smiled ear to ear. “How is that for a hint?”, he asked as the room erupted in applause.

The z/28 is still lightyears away from production. From the GM people i've talked at Coporate to the my diehard Chevy friends im told that the public is looking at, at least a few years at then maybe another year or so of R&D before can hit the streets. It's still up in the air. GM is trying to see where Ford is headed with there lines and GM want to match it. So Ford is their blueprint although they'll never admit it. Ford is on top and will be for quite sometime.

Yea, some of the things I've heard recently point to GM waiting for their next platform to arrive (around the 2014-15 time frame.....go figure) before bringing the Z28 out of retirement. My thinking is that the current Zeta platform would be too portly once you added the LSA motor and beefier components for the extra power in there.....and doing lots of CF bodywork to counteract the added weight would likely drive the price of the car through the roof. My bet is on them waiting for the Alpha platform to be ready, which is supposed to be smaller and lighter.

Believe it or not your correct. I wasn't gonna go that in detailed with my post but since you brough it up, yes. 14-15 was if the rumors going thru GM are correct is around the time the z/28 may make a appearance. But GM is so screwed up on sooo many levels i aint holding my breathe. lol

Then (lets play this out a bit ) it'd have a hard time deciding which car i liked more Ford Boss or the Chevy z/28.
