Mustang V6 GT?

Mustang V6 GT?
Did Ford make a factory 06 - 08 Mustang V6 GT? My boss is a Chevy guy and we were discussing cars. He claims to have seen an 06 - 08 Mustang V6 labeled as "GT". I told him there's no way it could have come from the factory like that and must be modded, but he claims that there was paper work to prove it. I believe he was mistaken about the V6 Premium; however, I reserve the right to be wrong. Has anyone heard of this? Also, am I correct in assuming all factory built GT's have V8's? I figured this is the best place to discuss. Thanks!

sorta on topic but...
i keep hearing that their is no way to get the v8 to meet the '14 CAFE requirement (30mpg or better for passenger cars i think) and they the top engine they would offer would be a TT ecoboost v6. just what ive heard...but it would be really really weird for it to be like 1974 all over with no v8 option

that car was 1000000% either a GT with a v6 engine swapped in (perhaps the v8 blew and that was a cheap replacement to get the car on the road again and this would back the paperwork up) or a v6 with GT badges and i have no explination for the paperwork at this point other than the guy is a lying douche.
as far as the future, i would not say that "there never will be" a v6 gt. with the oil situation the way it is/is going it would not shock me if the govt stepped in and started saying that our 300, 400, 500+ hp factory cars are completely unnecessary and wasteful of natural resources.

They can say whatever they want but the day they get my car keys is the day I die. I will never give up my car I dont care how bad a mileage it gets. A persons choice of what car they drive is one of the few remaining freedoms we have left.
