from what i got out of it, they are just guessing that it feeds an intercooler. judging by the way its written, they wouldnt know an intercooler if they saw one
Thats definitely what i think (or hope anyway)... maybe ecoboost the six but the v8 has to stay and it has to fly like a bat out of hell, but then again, even if the ecoboost was faster I would still go v8, after all that is what a muscle car is about
I agree. The GT should be nothing less than a V8.
However, if the GT is to be Ecoboost, I will settle for an EcoBoosted 5.0 Coyote!
Or Ford was clever enough to use the very same test mule chassis to try out different engines. So as to throw off photo and car spies.
Another speculation: The Boss dash interior will be used for all '12 Premuim models.
Maybe it's a 6.2 Boss model....ya never know.
But seriously, just because some auto journalist saw a Boss test mule for the first time is not solid enough evidence to start believing Ford is already planning a 5th Mustang production model. There's absolutely nothing in any of these pictures that hints at a turbo model. This is just a journalist using random conjecture to drum up attention for his mag/website.
And the only reason that dash would end up in standard Premium model Mustangs for '12 is if they will all come with the Boss spec 5.0 under the hood.
Let's be frank, it's unlikely that we will see a turbocharged model Mustang of any kind until the arrival of the next generation cars in 2014. Ford will already have its hands full producing the new Bosses and Shelbys for the next 2 or 3 years. There really isn't any room for a TS model at the moment.
