5.0 Falcon

ill take a falcon. obviously they would need to change some sheet metal to make it more styled towards the american market. when i am in the market for a sport sedan I would like to have a ford model in the mix along with the G37, the announced chevy G8, and the Charger.

And despite its looks, "450 hp at 5750 rpm, plus a gratifying level of torque – 420 ft-lb across the range from about 2200 rpm to just under 6000 rpm" will wipe the floor with a SHO Taurus (365HP and 350lb-ft) and the Brembo's will out-brake it all day long. You can have the SHO.
Car and Driver rates the SHO at "zero-to-60-mph time of 5.3 seconds for this 4100-pound car, with a quarter-mile disappearing in 14.2 seconds at 103 mph." I'll take the Falcon!

Maybe, but the engine is still mounted the "wrong way". I despise FWD and transverse mounted engines. If they would just mount the engine the "correct" way, then it would be a little better. I would challenge anyone who does their own maintenance work to which one they would rather change an accessory belt on, a transverse engine or a RWD car. Any yes I have worked on both.

Plus 1, the falcon is a much better platform then the sho, and it's awd but FWD based (kinda like the acura AWD system).
The falcon is essential ford's version of the award winning Pontiac g8, except brembo brakes, a 6 speed manual, and a supercharged v8. Pulley, exhaust, and lower it and you have one mean 1/4 mile car and a Track car, while still dd'ing for all of your drunk *** friends or soccer practice.

If you want a ford, move to austrailia, Ford has had countless oppurtunities to bring the falcon here, they won't.
Fine get a G8, I really don't care, I was just pointing out there are other moderately price rwd sedans.
Have you seen the new ranger?
I have a clue. The small truck market is dead in the US, the dakota, ranger, and colorado are all done after this year.
