it also has to compete with the camaro and the challenger. To make it cheaper they have to make it slower and generally worse. Ford doesn't want to do that. The want the mustang to outshine the competition. If you want to complain about the price tag, blame chevy and dodge for making the camaro and challenger so expensive. The mustang was relatively cheap until they brought those cars back.

Eh, I would agree with that to an extent, but at the same time, I still think a sub 23,000 starting price for the 3.7, and under 30K for the GT is still blue collar-ish.
I don't think it's that bad of a deal considering my wifes damn Malipoo was stickered aroun 27,300 (thank god she didnt expect me to pay that much for it)
