First off, I'd like to set aside the rivalry that often exists between our two camps to offer my condolences to all of you who have chosen the blue oval and must feel a tremendous loss at the passing of a true American icon, Carroll Shelby.

We lost ours when Zora Duntov died in 1996 so I know how many of you must feel. The two of them went head to head on track in 60's and 70's and I'd like to think they're reminiscing about those times right now.

RIP Carroll Shelby, your legacy lives on in the legion of followers you left around the globe.

To everyone here at Mustang Forums I'd like to stand with you and say I'm sorry for your (make that our) loss.

Thank you for the kind words. I just thank God Carroll came to Ford instead of some other domestic brand. He will be missed and I can only hope someone willl step up and be half the man that Shelby was for us.
