I found this on the web, figure i post it, dont know if it's a report.. It looks like its pretty much confirmed, 2.3 turbo, but unhappy that it's only 310, but 34Mpg, idunno they need to bump that horsepower up to compete, correct me if im wrong but i think the camaro is up to 323 in their 2012-13 v6 platform..We'll see i guess..

I'm not sure who you're kidding, but getting 310hp out of a 2.3L 4 cylinder is VERY good. Do some comparisons on 4 cyl turbos and you'll see comparable 2L blown models from BMW and GM that are getting more like 250-280hp.
Not to mention that keep in mind, by selecting that 4 cylinder engine, you're also cutting weight down by a good margin, which is going to make that 310hp feel that much faster.
Honestly depending on position in life, I might see if I can convince the fiancee to go from her 2006 V6 to a 2015 turbo 4

Damn and I had received that email to participate but couldnt get the time away from work
Im sure the rendering is very close to what we will see in production. I just hope they pull the front end back in a bit, its too long.

boosted platforms are super easy to squeeze a little more power out of too, something to keep in mind.
I gained a substantial amount of hp and torque on a 2.5L turbo with simple upgrades (intake, exhaust, tune).

I wouldn't put much faith into that "proof". From the way it sounds car was presented, the 2.3L is under consideration rather than a fact. I'm sure the development phase is at the point now where they're selecting the drivetrain components (engine). As such they wanted to get a feel for how a 2.3L would be received, if offered, not "it's going to be offered".
This was kind of like a Pilot TV show, they air it to a select few and then get feed back on it so they can tweak/change the first episode before airing it to the nation.
Anyways, as stated, I won't believe it until it's announced by Ford.

There's no way that Ford themselves wouldn't make the announcement of what the car is and looks like.. especially with all of this suspicion going around. To just let random non qualified (that they knew of if they sent the survey out) people in to look at the car and then basically say go tell the world about it (no confidentiality discolsure).
