Gary,
I get that (now that you mention it) but the rest of it reads in accordance with what was reported by Car and Driver (the authority of the industry IMO). Should we discount the whole article then for the Boss mistake?
What have you read that calls out the reveal date...please share if you have intel?
Thanks,
Tom

I discount the entire article because it was never corrected for the Boss mistake. if the journalism department can't be bothered to go back and make the correction then how can i trust what they report.
Although, the April 2014 NY reveal would be appropiate

Gary,
Point taken. FWIW the CD article never mentioned the "reveal date" so your point about the journalism may be on the mark. I'm sure if CD had that intel they would have included it in theirs.
Scary how the internet publishing seems to let the rules slide so much easier than print sources. Sign of the times I suppose.
I'll be looking out for more references of the April 2014 NY show as the "true" reveal date.
Thanks,
Tom

arent you able to order almost a year in advance? My buudy ordered his 2012 Boss in November 2011. The order banks opened up for 2014s in November 2012. So why wont it be revealed THIS year at NY and you would be able to order it this winter for a spring release in 2014. That would then put them out at the same time as the 1964.5

B03,
Interesting way to think about this. I'll probably email Ford and see when they are accepting pre-orders (or call a dealer which might be quicker and like less helpful). Could be a way to gain a bit more insight into this.

New Mustang
Never been a Mustang fan until the new V6 and 5.0...really considering getting one if we move into a warmer area and when the kids get old enough for booster seats. However, My 11 STi is no slug and can smoke most cars in adverse weather conditions...the sound of the new 5.0's is hard to beat.

Great city, just not the best place to be a Stang owner IMO. at least not in NYC where I am. To be fair, most muscle cars aren't great for the kind of traffic, parking, and tight roads you get here. Not much space to really take full use of that power unless you head out to the suburbs in Long Island etc. that said, would love to see more Stang fans and exposure here!

My guess is debut april 14th 2014 and it will go on sale on april 15th 2014, 50 years to the day of the original. I also predict the initial run of 2015 mustangs will all be referred to as 2014.5 w/ special badges until around oct then they will be referred to as a 2015 model
