Speedform Hood Scoop Gap?

Has anyone installed the Speedform hood scoop from American Muscle on their S197?
I have ordered it and while the scoop looks good and the color right, it looks as if there will be gaps especially between the front of the scoop and the hood so I hesitate before drilling 7 holes in my hood if I'm going to end up dissatisfed. Does anyone have any experience with these scoops?

Thanks

Seven holes? Does the factory one use that many?

I have a factory, and there are small gaps. I was thinking of making a gasket for it..

Yours, the scoop itself uses four, the front plate uses three. Their pictures of it
installed even show small gaps.

If you go to their page, you can see it installed on different cars:

This one shows a gap too:

In hindsight I should have looked a little closer to the photos
and the reviews and moving forward I will make it a point to
no longer assume that just because it's being offered by a company like American Muscle that it will fit properly.
I will recheck the instructions but I believe that I am to drill seven holes in the hood.

thanks

Roushe's stuff usually fits pretty good. I've always purchased unpainted and worked it to fit better and then paint it.

The plastic blocking plate in the front is what looks like what raises
the front up, so you may be able to shave the top a little so it fits.
The body of the scoop is the most pliable portion, and should bend
to conformity. The front plate could be a tad higher, thus keeping
the front fins from mating with the hood.

7-holes, yeah, as I saw, four in the scoop body, three for the front plate.

This hood scoop from AM is nice looking and the color is a great match in Redfire. I understand that it's a non functional, bolt on accessory but I still like it. I bought my '06 vert because it reminds me of the stangs from the late '60s and early '70s but with tighter handling and a quiet, smooth ride.
so I'm having fun playing with my S197 and at the end of Tuesday, that's what important.

You got to love spell check, I meant to type in that at the end of the day (not Tuesday?), that's what's important .
Sorry, using my phone to access this site and respond.
