New GT Concept
I was at the car show and saw this car. The guy said if it starts to go into production, it will sell for as little as 80 grand!

RE: New GT Concept
ha yeah, they dedicated a show on rides to the build of the shelby GR-1 ...pretty nice car. 80K ...that's very surprising, i thought if they ever were to build it, it would cost more than the GT. i just hope they don't produce any of those chrome bodies for street use, that would suck on a sunny day lol...i'm blind ! i'm blind !

the chrome would turn a lot of heads. They said it was like brushed aluminum, but doesnt look brushed to me.
THe nice thing about this is its a v10, not a v8 like the gt today. It also doesnt have a supercharger like the ford gt.
The cockpit is pressurized so when you take fast turns you dont get light headed.

yeah....is that supposed to be more on the vette and viper level while the GT is supposed to more on the top tier...? (ferrari, lambroghini, porshe, etc...)
judging from price id say its designed to compete with them but who knows...?
any specs on it...? all wheel drive? rear wheel? HP? Tranny? etc?

RE: New GT Concept
yeah i saw a gr-1 concept at the philly auto show, but it is its own concept, it has nothing to do with the gt. philly had a painted one, not the polished (or brushed) aluminum. they said it would not be produced... but who knows. as for 80k, i'd have to say that guy is talking a little bs. i know the rep at philly had no idea of any price especially since they claimed to have no interest in making it a production car. and that seems too low anyway

RE: New GT Concept
I asked the guy and said, honestly, is this just going to be another concept that isnt produced? He said there is a very high chance of production and that many people are pushing for this car to be made for as low as 80 grand and as high as 140, but he said it should be on the lower side.

cmon, you guys dont know your colors very well, do you??!! haha that is moon yellow. polished aluminum. the first shelby cobra was that, and they named it after dean moon.
and either way, its a nasty nice car! its the v-10 that is in the shelby cobra concept car. actually, it is the second cobra concept chassis, just with a full body. its just a remake of the shelby cobra daytona coupe. a nice car though. i would have to assume that that is the same car, just repainted, or paintless. ford is known for only making limited cars, and then changing the paint just to make it look like theyre making a bunch of em.
heres some info on it! http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-For...-1-Concept.htm
