I take offense to that last sentence being that IAM a Honda owner, and I do enjoy my car for it's all around all-season performance &amp; safety, cheap insurance, with great gas mileage to boot. I see you're not the best at grammar with all of your sentences starting with "oh". I didn't touch on the 03' Cobra because it's been debated way too much and there's no convincing a Cobra owner (which you aren't) that they just don't perform as well as a Vette. Look at stock 1/4 times and lateral acceleration. This is not even mentioning the Z06. While I never touched on the Cobra, you never touched on my Ligenfelter comment. I would love to see a Mustang tear the s**t out of one of those. Why be delusional and believe that there isn't a faster car out there? I know there are plenty of cars faster than my Vette. Yes, I do have a C5 Vette. It's a 2000 Pewter C5, with some mods. If you would read all of my past posts you would know I have a Vette. Ask Own3ByYou. I emailed him pics because he seemed interested, although I never heard anything out of the guy after that.Also, how can I be sure you work at Ford? You can't even spell Aston Martin correctly. Where was I mentioning GM's full line? I was discussing only one car, which you brought up. Aston Martin, however, is not a Ford. They are simply a subsidiary of Ford. They are manufactured and designed in England. As far as your supposed inside iformation, I would seriously doubt that Ford would make that available to a production worker. All I have to say is yes, Dont has a Vette. A very nice vette at that. </P>


The only thing Ford has to compare to the BASE C5 vette is the 03 Cobra and the 03 Cobra still can't out slalom or skippad the C5, not to mention the Vette (having 40 less hp) is on par with the Cobra's acceleration numbers with a GOOD driver behind the wheel. I have to agree with Donts comments on how such a "superior sports car" as the 03 Cobra can be associated with it's V6 counterparts in name and recognition while the Corvette has nothing but all around performance with a big bad V8 under the hood. </P>

No problem, I completely understand the busy part. I usually work about 50-60 hours a week, which sucks because I am salaried. The only benefit for me working extra hard is my commissions. Thanks for the compliments Own3. You'll have your Vette or Cobra one of these days. By the way, Honda's are good cars for every day driving. I was referring more to the ones with spoilers and NOS stickers that like to race. Nothing aimed at you in particular.</P>

Talking about my grammer well i didnt know i was talking to an english teacher so forgive me.As for aston martin,ford owns that company so it part of ford weather you like it or not.I dont work on the line im a inspector and i work along side the supervisors.Why would ford need to hind anything,just because you dont know about things going on in the auto buisness does not mean gm and other companys are not aware of what ford is doing.Your problem is if it isnt posted somewhere than you just dont know.As for ligen felter cars saleen has soom awesome hp beasts that are mustangs.Im aware that there are faster cars,like the FORD GT and gm has no vette that can touch it,gm is already planning on cars to beat or compete with the ford gt and the dam car isnt even finished yet and looks like your gm boys are already worried.As for me sounding like a ricer,please i own a mach 1 when its supercharged like its cobra counterpart it will blow away any stock vette.I love and live muscle cars so i dont mind having a debated conversation with you but dont call me a ricer,because i take that s**t personal.I hate ricers,and quit talking like you know something because by your comments i can tell you dont know s**t that you havent seen online or in a magizine.Bottom line fords has the edge right NOW,FORD GT and gm has nothing at the MOMMENT.Not to mentsion that ford gt is not even finished yet,and we dont need to say anything about trucks cause we know who whens that hands down.

Although, it was hard to make all that out, I believe I have deciphered it. The Ford GT 500, 40, whatever it is, is not the end all be all to sports cars. Its supercharged engine produces a whopping 500hp.....it weighs 3390lbs. The next ZO6 should outrun it for $80,000 less. How does GM not have anything for it? Let's get into the "if's" of the situation. If GM produces the "blue devil" it will have 125 more hp and be much lighter than the GT500. If GM would ever supercharge a Vette.....what would that leave Ford to do? Maybe they'll start running jet engines then.<edited><editID>95LT1</editID><editDate>38010.7166319444</editDate></edited>

Had you read my entire post, I stated that I knew Ford owned Aston Martin (hint the word subsidiary). Second, why did you bring them up anyways? Third, I never called you a ricer. I said you were acting like one. Two different things there cowboy. Your Mach 1 is a nice car. I actually prefer their look to the look of the Cobra. If you supercharge, then yes, you should actually be able to beat a Cobra as well, as you are lighter, but I'm sure you already knew that. Supercharging a car to beat a stock car though, is no real challenge. Supercharge a Mach 1 and race a supercharged or even better, a twin turbo, Corvette. We can sit here and discuss mods all day. My C5 is not stock, yet it's not the fastest on the street. The point was not to discuss or argue modded cars, but production cars. I thought you would have picked up on that, as you work in a production facility. With that being said, I have no idea what you do, but I assumed it was prodcution line worker, as your writing skills are not up to par. There's nothing wrong with that, but people in supervisory positions, especially in large companies, are demanded to have excellent written and verbal skills. Of course you never said you were a supervisor, but that you work with them. I don't mean to sound sarcastic here, but every one in the world that is employed works with a supervisor.</P>

I own a 92 Mustang GT (slightly modded) but love camaro's n vettes almost as much.Yea, so what about competition. That's all it is just a friendly game of who's faster or what not. No need to get all pissy about it.</P>
