Let me ask ya a simple question. How many Z06 have you seen with heavy mods, mods heavy enough to slap down a modded (chip/pully/exaust) 03 cobra?

I for one have seen 0. Lets be realistic here. I have seen BOATLOADS of 03 cobra vids with the standard mods, its almost becoming hard to find a vid of a stock one. The first thing people do off the lot is the swap. However, i havent yet seen (in over 6 gigs of races) a single supercharged z06, or even one with heavy engine work.

ALSO, every time you compare the cars LT1, you compare putting a supercharger on a z06. Great, how about you put the same one on a 03? I have seen insane numbers with ATI equipped 03s.

Z06 are great, and im sure will outhandle a 03. But for what is dammed near stock (I call a 50 dollar pully and a chip reburn pretty much stock) a 03 can outrun one. They are not infallible, and they are out of almost everyone on this boards reach. Try picking up a z06 for under 30k. Might get one on a cold day in hell.

I found a blue one for 21k... 03 Z06. had a blown motor and was a theft recovery car... 6 grand for a new LS6 and some more for an SC boom.. cheap *** 03 cobra killer.

Now, back to reality...why the hell do you always say "cost for this cost for that" speaking from seeing a Corvette owner debate this previously, I must say that Corvette owners don't care about cost, because a Z06 owner can afford an 03 Cobra.

So you're saying put the same supercharger on the Cobra as the ZO6 and the Cobra wins? Yea...."on a cold day in hell." Since we're talking about this now, there's a new vid of a 8lb of boost ZO6 running a 19lb boost KB Cobra. So, the Cobra running 8psi would for sure go faster. Go d'load it.....

Ever since I came to this site I ahve been posting Z06s runnings the cobras and beating them, trying to even things out since you people think a Z06 can't touch a cobra when in reality a stock cobra barely pulls the C5, then after 100mph the cobra drops off... its a close race with the C5 but the Z06 will stomp it and the ATI charged Z06 video is on here and is up against a 600 hp KB and the Z06 has like 450, go take a gander and weep! And as for seeing the Z06s modded heavily stomping a chipped.pullied.exhausted cobra, i have seen PLENTY.

this is a played out topic, a z06 should win, i do question the driving in that video because the cobra shouldn't have went down that quick, a kb cobra or a procharged cobra are in the 600-700 hp range, coming in under 40k brand new. this is what it is and i can promise for every car that runs 9's theirs a car clickin 7's. some ford some chevy

True, true. no one is the fastest for long.
But all I see here is KB this and KB that. Like I said in another vid. the guy with the most $$ wins. Like a Lingenfelter Vette Twin Turbo. It's only $110,000 but it's specs are unreal; 0-60,1.8 sec, 0-100 in 4.3......isn't the stock Cobra 0-60 like 4.9...oh and the Vette runs consistant low 9's all day long. 860+ HP I know, we have a Colonel here that owns one.
So the contraversy is endless.
