RE: smart car crash
how could you not think 70-0 would not kill you? granted a modern car, with someone useing all the saftely features like the seatbelt/airbag then 70-0 is nothing, but without them you won't likely survive, the force of a 150 lb person stopping from 70 mph in 700 milliseconds is 653.39 LB's which accounts for alot of give in whatever you crashed into, the car in the vid looks to lose all its forward speed in what under a 1/2 second? lets see 150 lb's for 500 m/s at 70 mph is 914 LB's of force
can you imagine now a 900 lb object set on top of you?,and thats just outside damage, internal organs are the real problem, they cant handle much impact at all, granted this is for a direct hit into a heavy barrier, but thats whats in the video, be glad we have all the safety equipment we have, and the millions companies spend on vehicle design to reduce human damage
