not aure if it's been said before... but sticker price is pretty much a joke for these cars, 40+K for a taurus

although in it's defense I have heard reports the luxury in them is Lincoln Like in the making... so maybe I'm just passing the judgement on the taurus badge, because it reality after a tune it's just as fast as an LS2 CTS-V and will be cheaper brand new for brand new

so I guess it's all how you look at it... but I personally think 40+K for a taurus is a bit crazy

I will have to disagree here. I think you're getting too caught up in the nameplate. If someone told you that a car available with a 365hp TT V6, AWD, and the given luxury amenities that the SHO is equipped with, all for $40k, I bet you'd say it's reasonable. IMO $40k is the new $30k when it comes to cars. A GT premium Mustang can get beyond $30k easily.

the build quality on these things is pretty awesome. I sat in one at the dealership yesterday and it was pretty impressive

when it comes to interiors the taurus beats the G8 hands down, the interior on the G8 is ****, everything is cheap flimsy plastic

I sort of agree with morbid, but when it's put the way that thunderhorse put it, things become a little more reasonable..

then again, I don't think I'll EVER buy a brand new car in my life, so things don't really apply to me....

Yeah that dudes over on my other forum. He has a k&n and a tune. He was the first 2012 SHO to break into the 12's. He said there was still some adjustments to be made in the tune and he could shave maybe .2 off that time. He's got a new race gas tune coming soon so he says.

I can't verify the hp number but I can verify the time, and he said he had a k&n and tune. Unless its a different guy, but he has a black SHO with those rims and was the first one in the 12's so that would be one helluva coincidence.
