Me Vs LS1

RE: Me Vs LS1
I'm just going by what my car ran, and it's a '98, which had the worst heads out of any year. I was going consistantly 8.0-8.2's on motor and that was in 90 degree heat. I only had LT's/x-pipe/lid/3600 stall/Nitto 555r's. 50rwhp shot of gas and it went 7.7x's almost every pass.
GMHTPeformance an A4 TA and put a 3000, I think, stall in it and a shift kit. They knocked off half a second by doing that. The auto cars are dog slow w/o a stall. Even then, they don't run that well from a roll.

That's basically a link to what you're asking about. They went 12.36 @ 108.92 with exhaust/stall/tires/shift kit. Of course, this is with great DA, but their short times are about what I was cutting.

Well I went 12.5 @ 110 with just a lid/cat back/ maf and control arms, this was of course on a drag radial. I have yet to get a time with headers and cam. LS1's respond very well to intake and exhuast mods, you should see what the stock Y-pipe looks like, half of it is nearly flat.

Haha! Nice. Just hope no one introduces him to Mr. Nitrous.

Besides, unless just gears/stall/tires/exaust and N20 will let em run 11.5os I shouldn't have too much to worry about/.

RE: Me Vs LS1
There is a guy running aorund here with a nicely done streetable nitrous setup.
As far as I know he has a 3500 stall and shift kit on the A4, MT radials, mild nitrous cam(no clue who from), mildly ported stock heads, LT's/x-pipe/catback, MAF and the other upper intake bolt ons with a 150 shot of nitrous, and a tune. He just retarted the timing a little and the car has made at least 100 runs on the spray no problem(not all at the track).
The best time he has knocked off is a 10.64 @ 123(I think it was 123, not sure about his short time)
Nitrous LS-1s aren't somthing to fool around with, even with a blown 4.6.
