You really should stay off of Dynoqueenper...I mean SVTPerformance.com. As a matter of fact, if you really want to prove me wrong, show me the fastest they have on SVTP.com. They have tons of 700rwhp cars, surely to God someone has went 9's over there. Hell, the fastest I have seen on their site, that actually has a time slip, went mid 10's. 10.6x to be exact.
About the Supra, very impressive. Want me to show you an LS1 that goes 9's on almost half the rwhp? Stock displacement? No power adder? 6 speed even. What exactly would that prove? About as much as you posting this video trying to prove you're not a fuggin idiot?
Just google up Joe Overton, who just went 8's ALL MOTOR in an LT1, I know "all motor" is a different term to you, but bear with me. Or Alan Futral, who went 9's in a heads/cam/intake LS1/6 speed, ON MOTOR!

It has been done. The car is also only THREE freaking years old. Even if you don't count every 350 that has lead up to the LS1, the LS1 has been around alot longer. The general car setup dates to the LT1s and what, 1994???
Yes, most people can not seem to get around the crappy 60' that results from the idiotic IRS. But even that can be fixed realitlvly cheap. I was talking to a guy with a 03 today that had a quote for 1700 to guarentee the IRS to 1000 HP. This doesn't seem to be a large amount of money for someone that has spent 30K on a car, and 5K on a KB blower.
BTW, i just googled mr joe. It says 9.36@143.17, at a 3019 POUND RACE WIEGHT!!!! Please allow me to apologise for all the cobra guys who don't want to competely gut a 30 thousand dollar car!!!!

AWD is nice for street races and 10-12 second street cars but slicks,RWD, and a decent rear are SO SO SO much better when dealing w/ 1200 hp 8 second drag cars and the like. AWD 60 foot times at the track aren't even close to good RWD setup at those kinda power levels. In fact its amazing when the Awd cars runs 8's considering how slow they come off the line to keep everything together.
How'd we start talking about an LS1? Is that just a previous arguement carried over to this thread? Whats the fastest an ALUMINUM block LS1 has gone, just curious, seriously.
And who cares about power adders, is this just the "03-04 cobra FI excuse" again?? Its not like you can throw the supras high boost on some 8 second N/A LT1 engine already running on the ragged edge and go faster. You think you can just throw the supras boost on your 8 second high compression N/A car and run 6's? Thats not how it works at that level so who gives a **** what you use to get there when the results are the exact same.
