not even close to a turbo. Where is the blowoff?
Turbos have two different types of blowoffs as do Centrifugals. They have an internal which reroutes the blown off air on the intake side of the MAF and back into the intake and really cant be heard very well but is still noticable. Then there is the atmospheric blow off that can really be heard.
first of all you do not need a BOV on a turboed car. i only use an external wastgate. you need to have a BOV before the MAF to vent to the atmosphere (using a blow thru setup), otherwise you will have unmetered air entering the manifold and performance and driveability will suffer. if you want a BOV using draw thru setup, you need to recirculate the air from the BOV back into the intake before the MAF. i was told draw thru was more accurate and better for making big hp, so i still have my BOV in a box. what's the point if you can't hear the PSST. but my external wastegate sounds like a BOV when i let off it if you didn't know any better. i have a BOV venting on my talon and i love it... scares the hell out of people with their windows down.

Trust me, it's a eaton. I'll find the post on another site that says it.
